This is where customers that you do jobs for give feedback on the jobs that you do for them. Reviews help you to get more business (if they are good reviews). Bad reviews will mean that you will struggle to get more work as customers often check reviews before selecting a tradesperson from the maximum of 4 quotes that they receive. Quotes are not necessarily accepted just on price. A good review will give you more weight as a quality tradesperson.
Good reviews are like money in the bank for tradespeople. Customers want to know that the people who do work for them are quality tradespeople. They often check reviews before making decisions about who to accept a quote from. Any reviews you get (good, bad or just O.K.), will be shown on your profile page in the Top TradesPeople Tradesman Directory so it is important to collect good reviews as quickly as possible to stand out from other tradespeople who might be wanting to quote on the same jobs as you.
Customers receive a link to your tradesperson profile area on the website when you say that you want to quote on a job, so good reviews will really make you stand out. As an aside, you might want to add some attractive photographs of your work to your profile pages, as once you do, customers will also be able to see an attractive slideshow of your work here and this will help you to win more of the work that you quote on.
Good reviews are like an advertisement for your business.
We will send you an email when you have a review from a customer on a job. Also, when you click on the job in the 'My Jobs' section of your Top TradesPeople account you will see the review including feedback comments and rating on a number of relevant key issues next to the job. You will also be able to see any reviews that you receive in your 'My Reviews' section of your account. You will be rated on jobs using our five star rating system.
To get reviews you MUST give the customer a quote using your Top TradesPeople account. Do not worry though. No one but the customer, yourself and our admin staff see the quote. The details of your quote are not displayed on the website as we consider this private between yourself and the customer. You must also ensure that you 'complete' the job that you carry out for a customer in 'my jobs' so that the customer can then submit a review for the job. The customer will then be able to submit a review.
If your customer cannot review you, you should check the following:
Firstly, did you give the client a quote using your Top TradesPeople account? Remember, no one but you, your customer and our admin staff see it. It is not displayed on the website.
Secondly, have you completed the job. Your customer will not be able to review you until the job is 'completed'.
Everybody who visits the site will be able to see your reviews. Make sure that they are good ones. And don't forget to put some great pictures of your work into your profile pages.
