Finding job leads on Top Tradespeople

How To Find Jobs on Top Tradespeople

Where do I find jobs to quote on?

Simply click on any of the numerous buttons around the site which say 'Find Jobs' or 'My Matches'. There should be one on nearly every page in your Top Tradespeople account. It's a big orange button. You can also go to find jobs from the little grey buttons at the top of your Top Tradespeople account too. Same with 'My Matches'. This also features on the little grey buttons when logged into your account. The 'Find Jobs' page is also the first page you'll see whenever you log into your Top Tradespeople account too.

What Is The Difference Between 'Find Jobs' and 'My Matches'?

'Find Jobs' is the main jobs search page where everything that is open for quoting is shown. You can sort through this manually to find job leads which take your fancy or click on the links on the left hand side of the page to go through each job type by trade. 'My Matches' shows only jobs which match the type of jobs you have selected in 'My Job Types' and only shows jobs of that type within the areas that you've got selected in 'My Areas'. Our default jobs radius is 30 miles so you will probably see jobs matching you up to 30 miles away in 'My Matches'. However, if you want to you can increase your jobs radius to 300 miles manually in 'My Areas'. You can also preview which areas are covered by the new selection before you hit the big orange 'UPDATE' button. Your changes won't be saved until you hit 'UPDATE'.

Finding jobs I want to quote on

You can filter the jobs that we have available for quoting by simply entering the trade that you want to find jobs for and refine this even further by adding a location or postcode area to restrict the number of jobs that show in 'Find Jobs'. In 'My Matches', we've already filtered down to just the job types you asked for. Make sure you go through 'My Jobs' as soon as you join to fine tune the job types you want to hear about and also to check in case there are some which may have been missed when you first registered. This happens often. For example, we have two categories for decorating - 'painters and decorators' and 'decorators'. We find that many decorators hit 'decorators' upon registration but don't check 'painters and decorators'. If a customer chooses 'painters and decorators' when they are posting their job, if decorators haven't chosen this category they could be missing out on A LOT OF LEADS. Check your job types when you first join and also regularly afterwards in case we've added any more job categories to the site in response to demand. If you've not selected all possible job types you may be missing out. Also, visit 'My Areas' and have a think about how far you'll cover. We would recommend going wider with your jobs radius to start with and then cutting back once you're busy. You can increase or decrease this jobs radius at any time.

We've also included some handy links to popular job types down the left hand side of the jobs search page so that you can get to your trade quickly. We've also added some quick links to jobs which are available in popular cities.

When you're logged in and on the 'Find Jobs' page, you'll be able to clearly see lists of the jobs and also the price that you'd need to pay to quote on the job. Be rest assured that all of the jobs listed here are genuine job leads, from genuine people looking for quality tradespeople. We don't allow jobs to be shown here that we believe to be bogus.

If you ever find a job lead which is bogus or without genuine contact details, we want to know straight away and you should click on the 'report a contact issue' link in the job lead page so that we can close down the job. If you've paid for a lead like this, we'll credit it back to your Top Tradespeople job lead credit account as long as you contact us within 72 hours of taking the lead.

How much do leads cost?

Our leads cost from just £1.00 + VAT, with the most expensive leads (extensions, garage conversions, conservatories, etc), going up to £29.00 + VAT. There are two different types of lead prices - 'basic member lead price' and 'premium member lead price'. Premium account members pay considerably less for leads (sometimes as much as a 50% discount) by paying a monthly subscription of £15.00 + VAT. Premium members are those who tend to be using the site regularly as they find that once they have bought a couple of leads a month, they make considerable savings by being on a premium account. Having a premium account is not compulsory, members can stay on a basic account if they choose.

We believe that we're one of the cost effective job lead generation websites.

How many tradespeople can quote on job leads?

A maximum of 4, but in reality, rarely this number of tradespeople quote. Often, it's just 1 or 2 who are quoting, as we build up the popularity of the site - so competition is VERY low.
