Job lead credits are what you need to be able to buy job leads that you're interested in. Credits are the currency of the Top Tradespeople platform. You'll need to top up with job lead credits securely via your member tradesperson account when logged in to Top Tradespeople.
Job lead credits work very much like pay as you go on a mobile phone. You simply top them up as they run low securely with a debit or credit card and payments are processed securely through Stripe (our card payment gateway). This system is very secure as it is or Stripe who see credit or debit card details (not Top Tradespeople).
The minimum spend on credits is £10.00 - which would mean that you have 10 credits to exchange for job leads. The more credits you buy the more bonus credits you get.
The average job lead costs 5 credits and all leads range between free (0 credits) (Yes, we do have some leads which we do not charge anything for), and 25 credits (generally larger jobs like bathrooms, kitchens and extensions). Small jobs tend to be in the 3-5 credits range.
The more credits you buy, the more bonus credits you get. £25.00 will get you 30 credits for example. This gives you 5 credits extra.
This is great if you are looking to get leads at a great price for your business.
Job leads start from just 1 credit and vary according to the type and size of the job lead. The average number of credits to buy a lead is 5, and some lead types cost fewer credits and some lead types cost more credits. Credits are exchanged for leads and of course, the number of credits the lead costs vary depending on a number of factors.
In addition to PAYG (Pay as You Go), where you top up with credits as you need them, in busier areas, where there are usually lots more leads on a regular basis, there are membership plans available (although these are not compulsory).
Membership plans save time and money for members who are regularly topping up and don't want to keep having to do so. Our membership plans run on a 30 day cycle and members can choose their membership level based on the number of credits they want to have included monthly. There are also SMS alert credits included in the monthly plans too so you never miss a lead.
All of our paid membership plans include a free trial too (although you can, of course, only have one free trial).
You'll see the number of credits needed to take a job lead marked clearly next to the 'Buy Lead' button on each job lead page. The cost of each lead is clearly marked when you are logged into the job search page. There is a column called 'Lead Price' and this is the price you will pay for the lead. There are two different types of lead prices - 'basic member lead price' and 'premium member lead price'.
A maximum of 3 tradespeople can quote (but it's usually 1-2 who do), so it's important that if you want to buy a lead, you act quickly when you see a lead that you are interested in. If you're interested in a lead, having checked the price of the lead in the jobs search page, click through to 'More Info' and you will again see the price of the lead (you should see both basic member price and full member price listed), and more information on the job lead. To buy the lead, simply hit 'Buy Lead' from that page. The credits for that lead will then be deducted from your job lead credit balance.
Leads range from just 1 credit to 25 credits
Once you have bought some credits you will be armed then to go and browse through the latest jobs (we will also send you an email alert about jobs which match your selected job type categories and are within your chosen jobs radius). Simply find the jobs you want to quote on and hit the big orange button which says 'Buy Lead'. As long as you have added some credits to your account, number of credits to take the lead will be debited from your Top Tradespeople job lead credits and you will receive an email with the customers contact details. The contact details of the customer will also be revealed in the job lead page.
Your credits will be deducted from your balance and you will then get the customers contact details to quote for the job. You will also be able to find the customer contact details on the job page when you buy the lead (but not before).
If you never want to miss a potential job lead, you should also top up your SMS text alert credits, which again, are cheaper the more you buy. A bundle of 100 SMS text alert credits is £10.00. Members on monthly plans get some SMS text alerts included in their monthly subscriptions. PAYG (Pay as You Go) members will need to buy SMS text-alerts as top ups as and when they need them.
Once you have some SMS text alert credits we will keep you informed when a job is posted. We will send you a brief description of the job lead, the location of the job and a unique code so that you can text back to buy the lead. Simply text the code in reply to the SMS to get the customer details sent directly back to your phone. The price of the lead will be deducted from your job lead credits.
Topping up with job lead credits is easy - Simply go to 'BUY CREDITS' in your Top TradesPeople account. This will then take you through securely to the payment gateway. Simply use your debit or credit card securely to top up with job lead credits. We do not see your card details.
