First and foremost it is important that you know that you will only be contacted by a maximum of 5 tradesmen or tradespeople when you post your job on Top TradesPeople.

The process is very simple and designed to protect your privacy.
When you request quotes for jobs our administrators check to ensure your quotes request is a valid job quote request.

Once your job quotes request has been verified your job details will be sent out to tradespeople who have indicated that they want to quote on the type of job you have posted in your area. Your contact details will NOT be given to these tradespeople. Only a description of your job and the area that it is in.

A maximum of 5 matching tradespeople say that they want to quote on your job and these 5 tradesmen are given your contact details by Top Tradespeople to give you quotes.

These tradesmen or tradespeople will either contact you by telephone, email, or via your jobs quotes message board in your Top Tradespeople account (more than likely via phone), to discuss your quotes request and perhaps arrange to visit to give you a quote.

We respect the privacy of our members completely (both customers and tradespeople). We do not inundate you with spam offers once we have your email address. You can opt in to our monthly newsletter which is designed to provide home improvement tips and savings and also to keep you informed about improvements and important information to the Top Tradespeople tradesmen website.

We will only contact you about jobs that you have posted on the Top TradesPeople website and will send you a monthly newsletter to keep you informed about Top Tradespeople services (if you have chosen to receive our newsletter of course).

Whilst it may be tempting to take verbal quotes from tradesmen and tradespeople we always recommend getting quotes from your quoting tradesmen through your private Top Tradespeople message board so that you have a record of quotes or failing that, ask tradesmen for a written quote for your home improvement work.

GET FREE QUOTES FOR YOUR PROJECT - Get quotes from tradesmen wanting to look at your work and check reviews of their previous work in the Top TradesPeople Tradesman Directory. Remember that not all tradesmen will have reviews as not all customers leave reviews so newer tradesmen might not necessarily have any reviews yet. If this is the case you should use due diligence and always ask for written quotes for work.

PICK THE BEST TRADESMAN - Decide which tradesmens quote is best for you. You are not obliged to accept tradespeoples quotes.

REVIEW TRADESMEN - Give your tradesmen reviews based on jobs carried out so other people find good tradespeople too. Good tradesmen love good reviews. Bad tradesmen are driven away with bad tradesmen reviews. Not enough people give reviews so all reviews regarding tradesmen are invited.
