Hanging baskets are the best solution for small gardens where there is small space for gardening. It is also good for enhancing the beauty of the gardens. We should have these things in mind while choosing a hanging basket.

First thing is to check the size of the hanging basket.

It should neither be too small nor be too big to hang.

Then we should consider all the features of the wire basket. How much weight can the wire carry? It should enhance the beauty of the garden space and should not come in the way.

The strength of the wire holding the basket should be checked properly as once the plant is watered it could get really heavy.

We should buy strong brackets for hanging the basket else it may not be able to hold the basket for long. We should only plant certain plants in hanging wire baskets. Such plants include begonias etc with smaller root structure.

Proper drainage must be provided for water to drain out.
