New Boiler Cost

What does a new boiler cost?

How Much Does A New Boiler Cost?

If you’re having to get a new boiler fitted, it can be quite costly. But if your old boiler’s not working as it should, the cost of a new boiler could save you as much as 40% on your energy bill, and will also be more energy efficient - so bear this in mind when you’re digging deep to pay for it!

Boiler Scrappage Scheme

You may be able to save on your new boiler costs by cashing in on a boiler scrappage scheme. Some of the big energy companies could offer you a £400 voucher to replace your old boiler. You can check with the Energy Saving Trust to find out if you qualify for this.

If you have any worries about your old boiler, or need advice on getting a new boiler, contact a local plumber, who will be able to give you a list of costs for a boiler.

Average Boiler Costs

The average cost of a new boiler is around £2,000, including the installation. Labour accounts for about half of this - a new boiler costs approximately £1,000.

Your price of a boiler will also depend on where you live in the UK and whether you’re replacing your old boiler. If you’re moving the boiler to another spot in your home, then your new boiler costs could spiral - it’ll depend if there’s any building work to be done, or significant piping or electrical work required.

Look For A Bargain Boiler

If you can’t quite meet the costs for a new boiler, shop around to see if you can get a discount. Some companies also offer a ‘buy now, pay later’ option, so you can make the payments when your finances are looking a little healthier. Make sure you check how much interest they’re charging though - you don’t want to end up paying ridiculous charges on top of the cost of the boiler!

Getting Insurance

As getting a new boiler is expensive, make sure you get it insured! Calling out a tradesman to repair your boiler can cost as much as £250, so it’s worth looking in to your insurance options once you’ve installed a new one.

Find A Plumber

Why not look up a professional? A good local plumber will run through the costs involved and advise you which boiler is best for your home. Remember, when you’re hiring a local tradesman, make sure he’s qualified and registered to do gas work!
