Here at Top Tradespeople your privacy and any information which you provide to us is of utmost importance to us.

 

ABOUT THE INFORMATION WHICH WE GATHER.

 

You are not obliged to provide us with any information whatsoever. You are free to browse our site without providing any information at all although some areas are members only and users.

 

We only obtain the information from you that we believe is necessary for us to provide our service to our members, both customer members and tradespeople members.

 

Should you wish to post jobs on the website you will be required to provide your name, contact details and job description.

 

Should you wish to be offered job leads as a tradesperson you will need to provide us with information which relates to your contact details, skills, preferred geographical areas of work, membership of any trade bodies or associations and their payment details in the form of a verifiable credit or debit card. Tradespeople may also be required to submit their National Insurance Number or Inland Revenue Construction Industry Unique Trading Reference in order to deter bogus tradespeople from registering under aliases. They may also be subject to a credit check if deemed necessary again to deter bogus tradespeople from registering with the website.

 

Other information which we hold relates to jobs which customers wish to obtain quotes from tradespeople for. This might include job description, progress on quotes obtained, communication between tradespeople and customers via the personal message board and also correspondence between tradesperson and customer regarding the job which is being undertaken.

 

WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION THAT WE GATHER?

 

When we receive information from users we need to verify the information received for accuracy.

 

If deemed necessary for your use of the service we may use the contact information which you have provided to communicate with you through various methods (telephone, text message, email, fax, postal system).

 

Information with regards to previous jobs carried out and reviews given by customers and any responses to reviews by tradespeople is available to view at any stage. In addition, work references provided by new tradespeople are available to view at any stage by both registered and un registered users.

 

When customers submit a request to receive quotes from tradespeople we will forward anonymous details of the job description to tradespeople who are deemed suitable for provide quotes for the job and may wish to accept the job lead. Should a tradesperson choose to quote for a job then both the tradespersons contact details and the customers contact details will be provided to both parties.

 

In the event of unpaid fees and job lead acceptance fees we may pass your information to a debt recovery organisation.

 

If we are obliged to do so by law we may disclose the information you have provided to us. We may also disclose anonymous data for marketing and commercial analysis to our marketing partners. We do not sell or share personal information with any individual or organisation not connected with this company.

 

In the event of a dispute we may use any information obtained about you to resolve such dispute. We may also use any information provided by you and obtained throughout your use of this service to provide customer support and to support our USER AGREEMENT and company polices.

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

 

We do not store or retain credit card details. Member tradespeople use secure paypal integration to make payments with a credit or debit card directly via paypal. In the event that we do take payments via our paypal virtual terminal with the members permission we then destroy and do not retain credit or debit card details.

 

YOUR ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION

 

Should you wish to check what information we hold on you then you will need to contact us. You will be asked a series of security questions and may be required to provide information relating to a password provided to us. We will only provide information to you if we can firmly identify a caller requesting personal information regarding themselves.

 

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

 

Your information is retained only for as long as you provide consent under the terms of the PRIVACY POLICY and our USER AGREEMENT.

 

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

 

Any changes to this policy will be updated on this website in advance of said changes.
